tends to maintain a better level and quality of equipment, and is able
to invest more time in editing. Make sure they are using 3-chip digital
cameras. With digital equipment there is no quality loss during the editing
process. Digital is the best format for converting to DVD. But even more
important than the equipment is the person operating it. Don't be afraid
to ask the videographer about past experiences. Ask to see a demo of their
work.
The benefits of using a professional are far greater than using Uncle Charlie for free. Not only will you have a nice video album that people will admire, but your Uncle Charlie will be happy he was able to relax and talk with relatives he hasn't seen in years.
